Flesh & Buns is located in the heart of Convent Garden and serves a modern take on Japanese. The restaurant has a basement feel with a very cool atmosphere, though it can get quite noisy at peak time!
Having tried almost everything on the menu, the Waygu Steak and Crispy Duck are definitely the standouts for me. Order as many Buns as you can stomach - they are perfectly steamed, super soft and literally melt in your mouth. Fill the buns with one of the meat selections and top with the delicious Korean or BBQ sauce and you have yourself the perfect Flesh & Bun combination.
With impressive variety, quality of food and cocktails (Lychee Martini FTW), 8/10 is my rating - If the service and seating were improved it would be a clear 10/10.
Tip: We were seated on the long communal table (very high seats and quite crowded) and requested to move to a booth once one became available, but were told once we start receiving food we cannot move. Request a booth or round table when booking if you intend on having an intimate evening.
